CNN news report from the Iraqi front line

(Iraq) A half decent news report from the outskirts of Baghdad. Oh, by the way, the tank isn't a T-54, its either the T-55 (virtually the same tank with 20 mm less armour on the turret) or the ubiquitous Chinese clones of the T-55, the T-59 or T-69. So why are the Iraqis using these old stalwarts instead of the more modern M1A1s? Nearly every male who has served in the Iraqi Army (armour) will know how to operate one. Saddam bought thousands of T-55s, T-62s, T-59s and T-69s.

But all that aside, it's a pretty good news account from the front line, which says it as it is and not as so called military experts deem it should be.
