Ramadan death toll Syrian round-up, August 18, 2012

(Damascus) Well, yesterday was Friday, the holiest day in the Islamic calendar, which itself was during Ramadan, the holiest month of the Islamic calendar. You know, that month when Muslims refrain from eating during daylight hours (which the bBC is trying to tell me is good for you, yet fail to mention that Muslims actually put on weight during Ramadan), from having lewd thoughts, from having sex, do good deeds and, of course, harm the hair on a living thing. Well, it seems that in Syria, those tenets of the Islamic faith are not something they subscribe to, which is why 128 people were killed for some reason or another, including, I should add, 65 people whose bodies were found dumped on a rubbish tip in the capital.

Ramadan death count moves up to 3,207.
